Surfer Taco
Meet Surfer Taco
Surfer Taco grew up where the sun shines bright and the waves never stop rolling in. From the first time he stepped onto a surfboard, he knew the ocean would always be his favorite place to be.
Every morning, he heads to the beach to catch the perfect wave, enjoying the salty breeze, warm sunshine, and the thrill of riding across the water. He knows that every wave is different, and that's what makes surfing such an exciting adventure.
When he's not out in the ocean, Surfer Taco loves relaxing on the beach with friends, sharing stories, and encouraging young tacos to respect the ocean while having fun.
His favorite saying is, "Life's better when you ride the next wave."
Laid-back, adventurous, and always chasing the perfect wave, Surfer Taco is proud to be part of the Taco Family!
Surfer Taco and the Little Sea Turtle
One beautiful morning, Surfer Taco paddled out into the sparkling blue ocean just as the sun rose above the horizon.
The waves were rolling in perfectly, and it looked like it was going to be an amazing day for surfing.
As he waited for the next wave, he noticed something floating in the water nearby.
It was a young sea turtle tangled in a piece of old fishing line.
"Hang on, little buddy," Surfer Taco said as he carefully paddled closer.
He gently lifted the turtle onto his surfboard and used a small safety knife he always carried to carefully cut away the tangled line.
Once the turtle was free, it happily stretched its flippers.
"Thank you!" the little turtle seemed to say as it splashed back into the ocean.
Later that afternoon, Surfer Taco gathered everyone on the beach.
He showed the children how important it was to throw trash away properly, recycle whenever possible, and leave the beach cleaner than they found it.
Together they picked up bottles, cans, fishing line, and other litter that had washed onto the sand.
By sunset, the beach looked cleaner than it had in weeks.
Just then, the same little sea turtle popped its head above the water and gave a happy splash before swimming off into the waves.
One young taco smiled.
"We helped more than just one turtle today."
Surfer Taco nodded.
"That's right," he said. "When we take care of the ocean, we're taking care of every creature that calls it home—and making sure future generations can enjoy these beautiful beaches too."
As the last wave rolled gently onto the shore, Surfer Taco picked up his board, smiled at the glowing sunset, and knew that the best days at the beach weren't just about catching waves—they were about protecting the ocean he loved.
What We Learned
